Every child is known and loved
At St Gregory’s School, our vision is clear: "All students are known and loved." This vision is at the heart of everything we do and is lived out through our ALIVE values, ensuring that every student feels valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
We are proud of our excellent and highly supportive pastoral structure, which plays a vital role in student wellbeing and personal growth. We believe that strong pastoral care allows students to thrive both academically and personally, fostering confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
Each student has a dedicated Tutor, whom they meet with daily, providing consistency and guidance throughout their school journey. Every year group benefits from the support of a full-time Pastoral Manager and a Head of Year, who work closely with students, parents and staff to ensure each child receives the care and encouragement they need. In addition, a Head of Key Stage provides further leadership and oversight, ensuring continuity of care across year groups.
At St Gregory’s school, pastoral care is not just a department - it is a whole-school commitment. All staff recognise, value and actively invest in the importance and power of pastoral support, working together to create a nurturing environment where every student is truly known and loved. Through this strong foundation of care and support, students develop the confidence, motivation and resilience to achieve academic excellence, fulfilling their potential and preparing for a successful future.
“Parents stated, ‘the pastoral care is exemplary,’ where ‘staff go above and beyond to support and nurture the students.’ CSI Report 2024
