Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to St Gregory’s – a proudly Catholic school where every individual is valued and welcomed, regardless of faith or background.
Founded in 1966 and now part of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership, St Gregory’s is built on a strong Catholic ethos. Our mission is to provide every student in our care with a world-class Catholic education, rooted in love, inclusion, and respect. We are a community where every child is truly known, deeply cared for, and celebrated for who they are.
At the heart of our approach is the belief in the unique value and dignity of every student. Inspired by the life and teachings of St Gregory, we empower our young people to discover and fulfil their God-given potential. We encourage them to embrace their learning with enthusiasm and to see education as a powerful opportunity to grow, serve, and lead.
We aim to nurture servant leaders – young people who act with empathy, courage, and integrity, and who are ready to make meaningful contributions to the world around them.
High expectations underpin all that we do. We are ambitious for our students and challenge them to strive for excellence, overcome obstacles, and take ownership of their actions. Through clear guidance, unwavering support, and a culture of encouragement, we help them to build resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of identity.
Our commitment to truly knowing each student allows us to provide a loving and supportive environment where every individual can flourish – spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
Personal and spiritual development is central to life at St Gregory’s. Students are given regular opportunities for prayer, reflection, and worship, often within the serene setting of our school chapel. These moments of stillness and collective faith help our students explore their own beliefs and values, understand the beliefs of others, and grow into the people God created them to be.
When our students feel safe to be themselves and confident in who they are, they thrive. At St Gregory’s, we encourage every young person to be true to themselves in a community grounded in Christ’s love – a place where they are, above all, known and loved.
